The Community Shed in Dunoon is offering a creative writing class running weekly at the shed on Thursday afternoons until the end of September with the first class on May 22nd: 2pm until 3.30.
Tutor Joe McNally is giving his time free of charge, so members need only pay £2 on top of the annual Shed membership fee of £20.00. That £20 fee gives access to all amenities at The Shed throughout the year. The £2 per session is the regular attendance fee for the Shed. You may also choose to pay £8 per month (£96 per year) to come into the Shed as often as you like.

Joe McNally has been writing since his schooldays. In 1993 his first novel with co-writer, top jockey Richard Pitman, was published by Hodder & Stoughton. That book, Warned Off, sold well and now has 1400 Reviews on Amazon -average 4 stars.
Warned Off is the first book in the Eddie Malloy series. The follow up, Hunted, was optioned by Reader’s Digest and was published in their popular Condensed Books Series.
This new class is not just for fiction writers; it is for anyone who wants to write for an audience. A potential best-selling novel perhaps, or a family memoir. Maybe an essay you have always wanted to write for a specialist audience? A screenplay? No qualifications needed. Your spelling and grammar abilities don’t matter. You will learn how to write concisely, with clarity, where every word does its intended job.
Please express interest via the contact form below. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We will take as many as the venue allows and will let you know as soon as we can if you have a place or have been added to the waiting list. Classes will be on Thursday afternoons between 2 pm and 3.30 at the Dunoon Community Shed, 8 Hamilton Street, Dunoon, PA23 7RG, and will run until the end of September. We will review feedback then with a view to continuing.
Your membership has the additional bonus of giving you access to all these facilities and activities.
We look forward to welcoming you on May 22nd.
