The Dunoon Community Shed is developing a number of rooms which will be available to the community to use and hire. At the moment the spaces below are available.
The Calendar below shows bookings with start times already made. The default view is by month with the start times shown. If you want to see the duration of the bookings select the week or day views.

WELLBEING ROOM
This is a 6m x 7m room in the new Shed area. It is an open space designed for martial arts, exercise, meetings, presentations, etc. It has heating, a wooden floor and fitted with large wall mounted smart TV for presentations.
MEETING ROOMS AND ACTIVITY AREAS
Breakout Room
This is a space in the main building connected to another smaller room and is suitable for small meetings and activities. It is currently used for games days and demonstrations. It has tables and chairs and a large wall-mounted smart TV.
Small Corner Room
This is connected to the breakout room. It seats up to 8 people and can be used for small meetings and activities. It is particularly suited for arts and crafts as it has natural light.
Caravan Meeting Room
This is a meeting room in the refurbished static caravan on the Shed site. The room has six square tables which can be configured as you wish. The photo shows it arranged as a board room table for up to ten people.
The room has kitchen facilities for refreshments and a large flat screen TV which accepts input from a computer. The room is equipped with electric heaters. Regrettably the room does not have disabled wheelchair access due to steps and the width of the doors. If you need a room for meetings with disabled access we will be pleased to accommodate you elsewhere in the building depending on when you need it
Jewellery and Small Crafts Workshop
We have a small workshop in the caravan which has some jewellery equipment in it including a rock roller and an ultrasonic cleaner. There is a bench with plenty of power outlets. It also has an airbrush paint booth and a compressor. The workshop can be used as either a jewellery workshop or for any other small craft or modelling activity. It is free to use for members and we encourage members to book it and use it. There is space for one or two people to work.
MUSIC STUDIO
This space is under continual development and is open with a live room of 6×7 metres, a recording control room, and an instrument store. The studio is not totally soundproof but it is insulated and acoustically treated.
There is some equipment installed including a 88 weighted key midi keyboard, a Yamaha keyboard/Electric Piano, a drum kit, PA and mixing desk. Further drums are available and there are often amplifiers available for use. You are, of course, welcome to bring your own equipment and instruments.

The recording facilities are set up for digital recording with a patch bay connecting the live room to an audio interface. There are desk monitors and MIDI controller keyboards. Acoustic treatment of the space is in progress. You are welcome to use the computer on site or bring your own to plug into the system.

Prices
Please contact us to discuss financial arrangements in connection with use of these spaces but here is a preliminary schedule which will be implemented initially and reviewed within a few months.

Rooms are often used in-house for Shed activities on open Shed days but we will attempt to accommodate you at any time. Just contact us to enquire.
