Introduction to 3D printing: How to do it and why you should.
3D printing is now much easier and cheaper than ever before. Anyone who can use a computer will be able to manage it. There are many free printable models available, including both decorative and practical items. The cost of materials varies with the size of model, from pence to a few pounds.
Designing your own models requires a bit more effort, but is very rewarding, and once you get started you may find yourself looking at problems around the house differently, realising that you could design and print a solution.
Patrick Gibb is offering is an interactive small group training session, expected to take about 2 hours. The aim is to give you the skills and enthusiasm needed to start enjoying 3d printing.
We have an Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus 3D printer which is free for use by shed members. You can use your own filament or pay for the material provided by the shed.
