A few months ago I was approached by one of our members regarding making a sort of butchers block table on wheels. The ones on-line varied tremendously in quality and price; many being very overpriced! After some discussion we decided to make the top out of an offcut of a composite marble type material. This would make the top much more hygienic as the end grain of timber would be diffcult to keep keep clean. Fortunately we had a piece of this donated by another member when he had a new kitchen fitted not so long ago. For the frame we had some Iroko on site, left over from a variety of other projects.
