Antlers
A recent project for a client: mount a set of antlers on an interesting piece of wood. So we found an offcut of spalted elm in the workshop and we think it turned out well. Better that the standard shield type?

Bird Table
A bird table with some features. The rails are to stop bigger birds taking all the food intended for the small ones. Also the height can be reduced by cutting off some of the central post. The base is wide for stability.

Elm Worktop for Camper Van

Ottoman
A recent job for the woodwork team: make a new lid for a valued ottoman. We looked out a piece of recycled pine board and cut it to shape. Made a recessed handle. Curved the edges and fitted with the existing hinges.

Lottery Community Fund Helps DCS Fix The Roof!

Log Stores
Two large log stores constructed by the shed woodworking team for a client. They are approximately 2 metres long, 1 metre deep and 1.6 metres high. Made using local larch supplied by Fynewoods so all community based and grown.

DCS Modelling Group Meeting Regularly
The Modeling Group at the Shed continues to develop. We now have ten members participating in our Saturday afternoon sessions. Current projects include aircraft, remote control tanks with sound and railway coaches. We have also been donated some flying aircraft and remote control ships that need renovating.
