Model Railway Group Works on its New Layout

The Model Railway Group have now started building their new layout and hope to have at least one track laid and running by the end of April. We already have about 70% of the base framework built and have modified our test layout to make more space.  The new layout will be two large loops running for 9 metres along the back wall, around the end of the room and back towards the door – a total length of around 17 m giving each loop a scale running distance of ¾ mile on each loop

It’s an ambitious plan but will provide lots of learning opportunities for all MRG members.  Sales of our surplus items are going well on eBay – it’s difficult to keep up !  If you are passing by please call in and have a look if we are there; normally Tuesday and Saturday afternoons and Thursday evenings.
