The woodworking team regularly make items on the lathe for members and clients. The mahogany handle was made for a client’s favourite skillet. The mahogany was cut from an old bench seat. The napkins rings were made from a part of a leg of a table that had lain outside for about 50 years in south Wales. The table was gradually being cut up and used for fire wood but a part was rescued after being identified as a hardwood – possibly teak. The napkins rings now have a sentimental value for the family.
